I will show you what a truffle woodland looks like, explain the ecology and focus on the woodland community. I will endeavour to show you truffle flies and how to use them to hunt; I will show you truffle beetles, considered a truffle pest, animals truffle feeding platforms and signs of our wonderful animal competitors at work; I will teach you how to harvest truffle and mushrooms sustainably and with respect to the community of invertebrates and all that depend on truffle within the food chain and the future generations of trees. We will be returning dried truffle to the wild using truffle trimmings not fit for consumption for the kitchen after truffle prep and cleaning.
Delicious fresh soup and bread will be served for lunch with truffle of course - along with other wild samples for you to taste. Please state any dietary requirements
